Just received 3 new jacket/vest patterns from Saf-T-Pockets. Besides a well designed pattern for a great fit, they include MANY sewn-in pockets. These pockets come in handy if you are traveling to the grocery store or going on a trip around the world. Check the "jackets/vests" in the left col. & look for "Brief Escape", "Flight Jacket" and "Rochelle's Reversible". One package gives you sizes XS to #XL.
I made a special section for "PANELS". It has Asian, African, and delightful fabrics for children. Don't forget besides quilts, these (childrens) panels can be made into cloth books and the blocks can be put on tee shirts and jackets. Click on "Panels" in the TOP left column.
Exiciting Authentic Aboriginal designs have been very well recieved. These fabrics can be found by clicking on "Australian" in the left col. My Aboriginal quilt is finally finished & can be found in the "gallery" section. It's called "Aboriginal Bargello".
61 pieces of the Stonehenge Collection can be found under "Stonehenge" in the left column. This includes pieces from the Celestial, Celebration Metallics, Maui, Mother Earth, Caribbean, Warm and Cool Stone.
My Favorite Radio Station is WBGO-88.3. It's a 24 hr. JAZZ station from Newark, NJ. If you are into "jazz", this is the station to listen to.
In one of the older quilt magazines I read an article that described quilts as "The Art of the Needle". The article referred to the quilts made in the 18th to the 20th century and deplayed at the Shelburne Museum in a 2003 show. I consider quilts "ART" and I hope you consider what you do as "ART" as well.. "Art of the Needle" is a good describtion for what we do.
