I am pleased to announce that I was part of a talented group that included students from New York University, a group of embroidery artists of the Au Grain de Sesame (Rabat, Morocco), 8 members from The Quilters of Color Network of NY and the Fabric Workshop and Musuem of Philadelphia, PA. The show "By the Work of Her Hands " was closed July 5 unexpectedly and without much notice to the artists. I am sorry if any of you were not able to see it. The desicion to close the show was a surprise to me and the other artists involved.
This project was an international collaboration by Jacqueline Bishop and Asmaa Benachir and Museums Connect.

My Favorite Radio Station is WBGO-88.3. It's a 24 hr. JAZZ station from Newark, NJ. If you are into "jazz", this is the station to listen to.
In one of the older quilt magazines I read an article that described quilts as "The Art of the Needle". The article referred to the quilts made in the 18th to the 20th century and deplayed at the Shelburne Museum in a 2003 show. I consider quilts "ART" and I hope you consider what you do as "ART" as well.. "Art of the Needle" is a good describtion for what we do.
